The Green Innovation Project is a clean-energy skills and enterprise platform.
It links renewable energy training, waste-to-energy thinking, enterprise incubation, community employment, and infrastructure support for TYGAN?s wider project ecosystem.
Training Centres
- Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Wind and hybrid energy systems.
- Battery storage, safety, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Energy efficiency and demand-side management.
- DHET/SETA alignment and recognised skills pathways.
Enterprise Incubation
Each centre should support graduates with mentorship, business planning, technical supervision, tools access, local contracts, and a pipeline of green SMEs.
Hospital Utility Link
The platform supports hospital ecosystems through microgrid skills, renewable maintenance teams, waste-to-energy operations, utility resilience, and local job creation.
Outstanding Work
Next steps include site selection, curriculum design, accreditation pathway, energy partner diligence, provincial engagement, learner model, capex/opex, and impact measurement.
